Product Overview

Using the cheapest of building materials, small cottages are home to the poorer folk in society, although with a roaring fire and homecooked food they can be inviting to many a weary traveller. Until the thatch catches light at least…

This box contains everything you need to build a tumbledown cottage, suitable for many 28-35mm fantasy and historical games. The interior is fully detailed and the roof is removable. The set comes complete with decking, a chimney and scatter terrain to accessorise your gaming table. Many of the pieces are modular and can be assembled in different combinations or mixed and matched with the rest of the range.

The terrain is supplied flat-packed on high-quality, high-density card, printed in full colour on both sides, so no painting required! The terrain requires assembly, and some smaller parts will require glue. Please see the Tutorial for more details and full instructions.

Note that this building is also included in the Village Core Set.

The Thatched Cottage is a lovely little build, with a great video tutorial. The added little scatter terrain, such as the book case and chair are nice freebies as well. The thing that keeps it from being a five star product in my opinion is the thatched roof. The graphics are great, so is the print, but a thatched roof really comes with a certain expectation of straw texture, which of course is really hard to replicate with cardboard! With that said, all in all, it still looks great. But if you are truly picky about the details you might consider gluing straw to the cardboard roof to really make the building pop. I've done this myself and it worked out great. For the price and considering how quickly you can get the terrain on the battlefield, it is a great buy!

Excellent addition to any fantasy / medieval scenario... Looks great and is also very useful in game play with the removable roof! Constructed in just 10 minutes.

Lovely cottage. Moreover it's full of details. Very good
