Battle Systems is a small business, but we’re growing fast and we’re looking for the right person to grow with us.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with our existing stockists and manage their accounts, including offering advice on how to promote and sell our range
  • Reach out to and build relationships with new customers to expand our distribution network
  • Maintain regular contact with new and existing customers via email and telephone

  • Produce regular reports to demonstrate progress
  • Stay up to date with the industry to identify and understand cross-selling opportunities

About You

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have wide-ranging knowledge of the tabletop gaming market (experience as a consumer is fine – you don’t have to have worked in the industry)
  • Be dynamic and engaging when talking to customers and promoting our brand
  • Have experience of a sales environment
  • Communicate effectively, adapting the approach to each customer
  • Competently identify sales opportunities and handle objections
  • Have exceptional attention to detail
  • Manage their time effectively, maintaining a detailed schedule of contacts and follow-ups while completing other larger tasks
  • Be eager to work in a growing business and influence our future prospects
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office or similar business software, Excel in particular

Location and Working Requirements

This is a full-time role with flexible working arrangements. The role will be primarily based in our office in Redditch, UK to collaborate with the team and be hands-on with our products. There will also be the option to work from home part-time depending on business circumstances and individual performance.

Generally, we expect you to work 37.5 hours per week, 9-5 Monday to Friday, but when you’re not attending the office the exact hours and days are flexible.

There will be occasions where you may work different hours to accommodate communication with clients in different time zones. From time to time you will be required to work weekends to attend conventions and other events, and you will be given time off in lieu.

The start date for this role is late August 2024.

Salary

The base salary for this role is £25,000 – £32,000 p.a. depending on skills and experience. All required equipment will be provided, and expenses paid where appropriate.

This role has a direct and measurable impact on the business’ revenue and therefore we will offer a discretionary performance-based bonus after completion of a probationary period.

There will be opportunities for pay increases each year depending on your contribution to the business and the economic climate.

You will of course also receive a generous staff discount on all Battle Systems products.
