Quest 2 Shards of Ascendance

While travelling through the foothills of the Meera mountains a sudden snowstorm forced you to take cover in an inn. The ale was poor, but the rumours you overheard were interesting. Patrons were sharing their ordeals dealing with an intimidating adventurer who’d been asking about a great treasure called the Shards of Ascendance that he believed was hidden nearby. For the price of some sympathy and a few beers, you get enough information to pick up his trail. This leads to the cellars of a ruined keep where you find an old crypt covered in carvings talking about a powerful maladaar. It has been smashed open and emptied but nothing else here has been looted. Before you can give much thought to why, you hear the unmistakable shamble of the undead. You count your blessings that there is enough loot left to make this a worthwhile trip. Someone might be interested to hear that something has awoken the dead too…

This Quest can be played as a standalone adventure, or as an alternative to Quest FC-A if you are playing the Forbidden Creed campaign and need more clues.
