Despite several frustrating nights burning the midnight oil, the cleric Forwin was unable to decode the information you unearthed at Barrowcap Fort. His only hope now is the expertise of a historian who resides in the diminished settlement that now stands on the bones of Ancient Khaarastad. After enduring a number of tedious social engagements in the crumbling mansions of the settlement’s nobility, you learned that the scholar left on an expedition into the ruins and has missed his expected return date. The governing council of the settlement is too occupied with Byzantine power plays and pursuing ancient feuds to do anything about it, so it is down to you to find the missing scholar.
Note: This Quest is played if you found enough clues during Quest #4 The Trail of the Corpulent King as part of the mini-campaign to claim the Soul Siphon relic, that started with The King’s Brides.

*As with most of our Quests, if you don’t have the specific terrain described, you can build a layout that matches the Quest’s map as closely as possible using the terrain from the starter box. You should get a similar experience as long as you replicate the key elements.
