Product Overview

The battlefields are on the front line of the wars between good and evil, where troops clash over open fields and through ravaged ruins, and defences and lookout posts are hastily constructed to hold back the tide.

This box contains all the terrain you need for a complete gaming table representing a war-torn battlefield, suitable for many 28-35mm fantasy and historical games. You can tightly pack the terrain into a small skirmish board or spread it out over a larger table. Many of the pieces are modular and can be assembled in any combination you choose for a different set-up every time. The roofs are removable and the buildings have fully detailed interiors.

The terrain is supplied flat-packed on high-quality, high-density card, printed in full colour on both sides, so no painting required! The terrain requires assembly, and some smaller parts will require glue. Please see the Tutorials page for more details and full instructions.

Just starting out as a DM, and now that I'm an adult I can play how I've always wanted, with tons of maps and terrain and minis, and Battle Systems has been a godsend! I outfitted myself with most of the fantasy sets and I cannot be more impressed or happy! I love the product, it looks fantastic, its easily storable, and most important, my players LOVE it. Having my table set up with all the buildings and terrain make me feel like I'm a kid again, playing the way I've always dreamed of!

This is a phenomenal set for fantasy skirmish gaming. Assembling this is quicker than kits requiring assembly and painting, which leaves more time for play. Great designs, very versatile.

While the build pictures included on the website for this set aren’t too inspiring, this is a surprisingly versatile set if you’re interested in adding some character to builds made with any of your other sets. I’ve used the wooden fences and stone walls to turn all the buildings in the medieval set into elevated lake/dock buildings, the monastery set to make a northern settlement look like it’s squatting on the ruins on an ancient civilization, and the guard and watchtowers to turn the wizard’s tower into part of a larger ramshackle fortification. Everything fits together fairly well in this set, without any of the major misprints from the town set. That said, a little more thought could have made it even more compatible with other sets. At times the sizing was just off what I needed to make things fit together - sticking to a standard scale would have helped with this (though it might have made some of the buildings less unique?). Making it a little easier the build the monastery as non-ruined would have helped too. On the whole - this is a good set. I’ve bought two, plus an extra monastery. A good first buy if you want it as a battlefield, and pretty much an essential second buy to add flavor to any of the other sets.
